Biography

Dr. Francisco Pascual Gomez, MD, MS, is a board certified Neurologist and Multiple Sclerosis specialist at UT Health RGV.  Dr. Gomez uses the latest medical advancements in neurology to provide the highest level of care to patients with neurological disorders. 

Dr. Gomez graduated cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science (B.S) Degree in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University in 2009 and received his Master of Science (M.S) Degree in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University in 2012. He then obtained his Doctor of Medicine Degree (M.D) from Texas A&M University College of Medicine in 2016. Dr. Gomez completed his Internship and Residency at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple – Texas A&M College of Medicine in 2017 and 2020, respectively. Additionally, Dr. Gomez completed his Fellowship in Multiple Sclerosis and Neuro-immunology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. Gomez specializes in providing services focused on the diagnosis and treatment of multiple sclerosis and other central nervous system demyelinating conditions. He also offers diagnosis and treatment for general neurology conditions including migraine, neuropathy, and cognitive changes, to name a few.

Additionally, Dr. Gomez is a member of several notable organizations such as American Academy of Neurology (AAN), the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS), the Texas Neurologic Society, and the Texas Medical Association, as well as the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) and America’s Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ACTRIMS). 

Dr. Gomez currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the UTRGV School of Medicine, educating and training the next generation of physician leaders.
