Dr. Kent Carter, MD is aboard certified Pediatrician at UT Health RGV. With advanced training and medical experience, Dr. Carter uses the latest technology and medical advancements in pediatrics to provide children in the RGV with the highest level of personalized and compassionate care.
Dr. Carter graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002 and received his Master’s Degree (MS) from Northwestern University in 2009. He then received his Medical Degree (MD) from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso in 2017. Dr. Carter later completed his Residency at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio in 2020.
As a Pediatrician at UT Health RGV, Dr. Carter delivers quality pediatric care for infants, children, and adolescents in acute illness care, annual health screenings, physical exams, and school physicals. Additionally, Dr. Carter has a research focus on diagnosing and treating abdominal pain.
Dr. Carter currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the UTRGV School of Medicine, educating and training the next generation of leaders in medicine, research, and patient care.
