Biography

Dr. Rebecca Resendiz Rodriguez, PsyD, is a board certified Clinical Psychologist at the UT Health RGV. With over 10 years of advanced training and experience, Dr. Rodriguez uses the latest techniques and advancements in clinical psychology to provide patients with the highest level of care.

Dr. Rodriguez graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Women and Gender Studies from Texas A&M University in 1996 and received her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 2010. She also participated as an intern at the MacNeal Hospital: Family Medicine Clinic in 2008. Additionally, she completed various externships in Clinical Therapy at the Stroger Hospital of Cook County: Pain & Diabetes Clinics in 2006 and the Illinois Youth Center in 2001.

Dr. Resendiz Rodriguez highly specializes in the diagnosis and psychological treatment of mental, behavioral and emotional illnesses, including obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), diagnosing and treating mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Some of the common disorders that she can treat are learning disabilities, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.

Dr. Rodriguez currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the UTRGV School of Medicine, educating and training the next generation of physicians.
