Dr. Timothy Heath, MD is a board certified Internal Medicine Physician at UT Health RGV. With over 27 years of advanced medical experience, Dr. Health uses the latest technology and medical advancements in internal medicine to provide communities in the RGV with the highest level of care.
Dr. Health graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology from the University of Florida in 1985 and received his Medical Degree (M.D.) from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 1990. He then completed his Residency at the University of Florida in 1993.
As an Internal Medicine Physician at UT Health RGV, Dr. Heath diagnoses and provides services and treatments for preventative care, acute illness care, diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, arthritis, men’s and women’s health, adult and geriatric medicine, and provides additional diagnostic services such as physical examinations, health screenings, and immunizations. Dr. Timothy Heath is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Additionally, Dr. Heath is a member of several notable organizations such as the Society of Hospital Medicine and the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Heath joined the UTRGV School of Medicine Faculty in 2015 and currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the Department of Internal Medicine.
