Biography

Fatimah Bello, MD, MPH, FACP, is a board-certified Internal Medicine Doctor at UT Health RGV. With extensive medical experience and training, Dr. Bello is dedicated to providing communities in the Rio Grande Valley with the highest level of care.

Dr. Bello received her medical degree from Obafemi Awolowo University in 2009. She interned at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital in 2010 and earned her Master of Public Health Degree from Harvard University in 2013. In 2020, Dr. Bello completed her residency training at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

As an Internal Medicine Doctor at UT Health RGV, Dr. Bello offers preventative care, acute illness care, and chronic care for conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, and arthritis. She also offers men's and women's health services, adult and geriatric medicine, physical examinations, health screenings, immunizations, and more.

Dr. Bello is a member of several notable organizations, such as the American College of Physicians, the Society of Hospital Medicine, the Texas Medical Association, and the Nigerian Medical Association.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Bello serves as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the UTRGV School of Medicine, where she strives to educate and train the next generation of leaders in medicine, patient care, and research.
