Biography

Dr. Berry is a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon at UT Health RGV with advanced training and clinical expertise in both reconstructive and aesthetic procedures. 

He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida Honors College in 1998 before earning his MD from Washington University School of Medicine in 2004. He then completed his training in Plastic Surgery at Texas A&M Health Science Center-Scott and White Medical Center in 2010. 

Dr. Berry focuses on patient concerns and surgical goals to create a personalized plan to address those concerns. His primary clinical interests include problems of the breasts and skin, facial trauma, body contouring, and revision aesthetic surgery. His research interests include the management of Pediatric facial trauma, tattoo removal, and the treatment of disfiguring birthmarks. 

He joined The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine Faculty in 2019 and currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Department of Surgery. 

Dr. Berry enjoys teaching and collaborating with other educators to improve medical education. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Texas Medical Association, and the Oklahoma State Medical Association. 

His personal interests include running, chess, and traveling with his family. Dr. Berry is bilingual (Spanish) and grew up in a large, multicultural family. 

Years of caring for patients strengthened Dr. Berry’s devotion to the art and science of plastic surgery, and his reverence for the role surgeons play as healers and educators. He is committed to providing the highest quality Plastic Surgery services.
