Dr. Alberto Allegre, MD, is a Board Certified Pediatrician at UT Health RGV. With a focus on providing specialized medical care to patients, Dr. Allegre uses the latest advancements in developmental and behavioral pediatrics to improve the quality of care for children in the RGV.
As a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics specialist at UT Health RGV, Dr. Allegre offers diagnostic and treatment for children with developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning problems, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), sleep disorders, and more. Dr. Allegre provides a personalized patient care plan along with a variety of resources to ensure parents can make the most educated choice about their child's health care. Dr. Alberto Allegre is Board Certified by The American Board of Pediatrics and provides advanced patient care for all pediatric patients with the latest medical technology and treatment.
Dr. Allegre received his Medical Degree (M.D.) from The Tecnológico de Monterrey School of Medicine in 2010 and completed his Pediatrics Residency training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in 2015. After completion of his residency training, Dr. Allegre continued his medical education and completed a Fellowship in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences - Arkansas Children’s Hospital in 2018.
Dr. Allegre joined the UTRGV School of Medicine Faculty in 2018 and currently serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics. He is also a member of the Student Education Committee of Pediatrics and is educating and training the next generation of leaders in medicine, research, and patient care. Dr. Allegre is now accepting patients at the UT Health RGV Pediatric Specialty in Edinburg, TX.
