Dr. Alejandro Bocanegra is a board-certified Family Medicine Doctor at UT Health RGV. With over 5 years of advanced medical experience, Dr. Bocanegra uses the latest technology and medical advancements in family medicine to provide communities in the RGV with the highest level of care.
Dr. Bocanegra graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas San Antonio in 2008 and received his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in 2014. He then completed his residency at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2018.
As a Family Medicine Doctor at UT Health RGV, Dr. Bocanegra provides preventive care, treats acute illnesses, and manages chronic conditions. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine.
In 2020, Dr. Bocanegra joined the UTRGV School of Medicine faculty and currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Family and Community Medicine.
