Angela Tanguma is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is currently a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health (NPWH), the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the North American Menopause Society (NAMS), and Texas Nurse Practitioners (TNP). Angela began her nursing career in 2005 and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Texas at Brownsville in 2010. In 2017, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
With a special interest in Women’s Health for the past decade, Angela has dedicated her professional career to focusing on women’s care. Since 2018, she has been providing care primarily to underserved women at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Angela has also been involved in numerous federal and state grants, working with stakeholders and community members to expand women’s care, especially for underserved populations.
