Carolina Gomez de Ziegler, MD, is a board-certified Family Medicine Doctor at UT Health RGV. She has over 20 years of experience in her field and is dedicated to providing communities in the RGV with the highest level of patient care.
Dr. Gomez de Ziegler graduated with a medical degree from Universidad Central de Venezuela in 2001, completed her pathology residency at Instituto de Anatomia Patologica in 2005, and completed her family medicine residency at the Knapp Medical Center in 2017.
As a Family Medicine Doctor at UT Health RGV, Dr. Gomez de Ziegler provides acute illness care, sports medicine and musculoskeletal care, chronic care for diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, and arthritis, men’s and women’s health services, geriatric medicine, physical exams, health screenings, immunizations, and more.
Dr. Gomez de Ziegler is a member of several notable organizations, such as the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (an accreditation, not a society), and the Venezuelan Society Pathology.
Dr. Gomez de Ziegler also serves as an Assistant Professor of Family and Community Medicine at the UTRGV School of Medicine, educating and training the next generation of leaders in health care.
