Dr. Eron Manusov is a Board Certified Family Medicine Doctor at UT Health RGV. Dr. Manusov delivers competent, compassionate patient care and uses the latest advancements in family medicine to improve the quality of care for children and adults in the RGV.

As a Primary Care/Family Medicine physician at UT Health RGV, Dr. Manusov offers diagnostic and treatment in family medicine for children and adults, sports medicine care, preventive care, health screenings, immunizations, chronic care (diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, arthritis), men’s health, women’s health, and more. Dr. Manusov provides a personalized patient care plan along with a variety of resources to ensure patients can make the most educated choice about their health care. His passions include underserved care, mental health, and musculoskeletal medicine.

Dr. Manusov earned his Medical Degree (M.D.) from The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences School of Medicine in 1984 and completed his Family Medicine Residency training at USAF David Grant Medical Center in 1987. After his residency, Dr. Manusov served in the USAF, the Combat Casualty Care Center, and as faculty at his Alma Mater. He continued his medical education and completed a Faculty Development Fellowship at The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 1993, followed by positions at Florida State University College of Medicine, and as Vice President of the Southern Regional Area Health Education Center in North Carolina.

Dr. Manusov joined the UTRGV School of Medicine Faculty in 2015, where he served as an Inaugural Professor and Chair for the Department of Family and Medicine, as well as an Inaugural Assistant Dean for the Department of Medical Education. He currently serves as Professor and Director of Translational Science for the South Texas Obesity and Diabetes Institute. Dr. Manusov is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Human Genetics and faculty at the Knapp Family Medicine Program, educating and training the next generation of leaders in medicine, research, and patient care. His research focus is on social determinants of health and the genetics of chronic disease. He has garnered over 6 million dollars in grants to develop community outreach programs, including the UTRGV Unimovil and the John Austin Pena Memorial Center, for the treatment of triply diagnosed adolescents.
