Biography

Dr. Fatimah Bello, MD, MPH, FACP, is a board-certified Internal Medicine Physician at UT Health RGV. With advanced medical experience and training, Dr. Bello uses the latest technology and medical advancements in internal medicine to provide communities in the RGV with the highest level of care.

Dr. Fatimah Bello received her Medical Degree from Obafemi Awolowo University in 2009. She interned at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital in 2010 and went on to earn her Master of Public Health Degree from Harvard University in 2013. In 2020, Dr. Bello completed her Residency training at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

As an Internal Medicine Physician at UT Health RGV, Dr. Bello diagnoses and provides services and treatments for preventative care, acute illness care, diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, arthritis, men’s and women’s health, adult and geriatric medicine, gynecology services, menopausal counseling, and provides additional diagnostic services such as physical examinations, health screenings, immunizations, and more. Dr. Bello is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Additionally, Dr. Bello is a member of several notable organizations such as the American College of Physicians, the Society of Hospital medicine, the Texas Medical Association, and the Nigerian Medical Association.

Dr. Bello also currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the UTRGV School of Medicine, educating and training the next generation of physicians.
