Haritha Mapakshi is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with UT Health RGV’s Gastroenterology team. She earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania, and is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
With a background in primary care, Haritha is passionate about preventive health and helping patients improve their digestive and overall well-being. Her clinical interests include gastroenterology, colorectal cancer prevention and screening, digestive health, and weight management.
Haritha works closely with patients to provide compassionate, patient-centered care, with an emphasis on education, prevention, and early detection of gastrointestinal conditions. She is committed to improving access to high-quality GI care and helping patients throughout the Rio Grande Valley take an active role in their long-term health.
