Nicole Guzman is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at UT Health RGV. She currently cares for patients (UTRGV employees) at UT Health RGV Student and Employee Health in Edinburg. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Nicole Guzman is a proud Rio Grande Valley native and a graduate of the University of Texas-Pan American (UTPA), where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009. Her nursing career began at McAllen Medical Center, where she worked on the medical-surgical floor from 2010 to 2013, gaining valuable experience in patient care and clinical practice.
In 2013, Nicole transitioned to the UTPA/UTRGV Student Health Clinic as a registered nurse, serving the university community until 2016. During this time, she pursued her passion for advanced practice nursing and returned to school to earn her Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner certification, which she completed in the spring of 2017.
Nicole rejoined UTRGV in November 2017 as part of the newly established School of Medicine, where she began her role as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Since 2018, she has been providing comprehensive care and promoting wellness among university employees. Her dedication to patient-centered care and her commitment to the health of her community have been central to her professional journey.
Outside of her career, Nicole enjoys spending quality time with her husband, their seven-year-old daughter, and five-year-old son. In her free time, she loves reading novels, exercising, and traveling, always seeking new experiences and opportunities to learn and grow.
